Site Geometry Tools
Site geometry tools describe the physical and operational constraints of the deployment site. Good geometry improves heatmap readability and gives Auto-Deploy better inputs.

Building tool
Use Building to draw building polygons.
How to draw a building:
- Select Building.
- Click each corner of the building footprint.
- Click near the first point to close the polygon, or press Enter to finish.
- Use Cancel or press Escape if you need to stop drawing.
Buildings are displayed as barriers in the SPL heatmap. Each building has an attenuation value in decibels that can be edited after selection.

Building attenuation
Building attenuation controls how much sound is reduced through the building barrier in the simplified heatmap model.
Use higher attenuation for heavier structures and lower attenuation for lighter or more acoustically open structures. The tool supports values from 0 dB to 80 dB.
Greenspace tool
Use Greenspace to trace and label lawns, courtyards, outdoor seating areas, habitat zones, gardens, ponds, or other regions that should be understood as named spaces.
How to draw a greenspace:
- Select Greenspace.
- Click each vertex around the area.
- Click near the first point to close the polygon, or press Enter to finish.
- Select the greenspace to rename it.
- Enable Deter from this space when the recommendation service should use it as a deployment target.

Collision Surface tool
Use Collision Surface to mark specific building edges where bird collisions are a concern.
How to mark collision surfaces:
- Draw at least one building polygon.
- Select Collision Surface.
- Click individual building edges to mark or unmark them.
- Mark only the edges that should influence recommendations.
Auto-Deploy requires at least one marked collision surface or at least one greenspace set to deter from.

Selecting geometry
Use Select to click a building or greenspace. The selected object can be edited in the right-side panel or the popup near the selected object.
Editable building fields:
- Building name.
- Attenuation in dB.
Editable greenspace fields:
- Greenspace label.
- Deter from this space.
Geometry best practices
- Trace simple outlines rather than highly detailed rooflines.
- Mark only meaningful collision surfaces, not every edge by default.
- Use labels that collaborators will recognize.
- Recheck geometry after cropping or recalibrating the map.
